Today I visited the Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus, Ohio to see the new exhibit, "Sacrifice and Bliss: Aurora Robson," which has art from the artist Aurora Robson. Her art is made up of recycled stuff. She cut the tops off of plastic bottles and hung them. She cut them into random shapes. She also did paintings using junk mail. You can learn more about her exhibit here:

After I saw the exhibit, I watched another artist named Eric Marlow talk about ideas for making your own recycled art. He told us about how we could use plastic bottles and cans to make art. He only used recycled stuff. It gave me a lot of ideas for taking things from the recycling bin and making them into art.
I used his ideas to cut up a bottle. I also used some old nail polish I didn't want anymore and used it for paint. Here is the painting I did with nail polish:

It has been a lot of fun to do art with recycling, so you should do it, too! I really love painting with nail polish. Send me your favorite recycling art projects so I can post them on the online gallery.
